A couple of shots. Ok 3 shots.

I wanted to try a still life of my fall arrangement.

This next picture I originally took for Krissys Photo shoot but decided it wasn't quite right.  I do like it though.  The abandoned steps in our back woods leading to a house long gone.

Monday Morning Photo shoot with John

Your Monday Photo Shoot: Off-Color Photos

Here's a Photo Shoot that will make you fire up your photoediting software:

Your Monday Photo Shoot: Turn something an unexpected color. Most photo editing software will let you fiddle with the hue of your photos: Use that feature to make your photos subject a color it would be impossible (or at least, very unlikely) for it to be in real life.

I had my dog Zoey help me with this one.  This was a spooky shot anyway and the purple made it perfect.

Scavenger hunt #92

Photo Scavenger Hunt #92 will be due on Sunday. October 15, at 11:00 PM EST.

The subject this week is:
  "Trees, leaves, and anything

changing!"

I know we already had "Autumn", but I think I introduced it a bit too early.  I think we can get some wonderful shots this week!!  Hope you all have some fun with this!  And, yes, Raven
, you can have the leaves blowin' in the wind!

Well since my last few entries have been fall pictures this time I will concentrate on leaves.  I have a leaf theme running through my house.  In my bathroom I have falling leaves wallpaper

and in the tub the tiles are leafs

My kitchen has a couple of Anne Van Briggle pottery leaves

And my countertop have a leaf pattern.

And on some of the walls in my house and in my closets I have stamped leaf patterns

In my livingroom I have leaves with faces.

    So here is my entry.

The last of fall pictures.

Your Monday Photo Shoot: Leaves are changing color all over the US -- show us the foliage in your neck of the woods. Normally I say that pictures from your archives are fine and dandy, but for this assignment try to get fresh photos of the change of the season. Remember also that even though this is called the Monday Photo Shoot, you can still submit pictures on Tuesday, Wednesday or even Thursday morning -- so you have some time to find that perfect fall photo.  Siince the assignment just came today and posting these yesterday they will have to do.  The wind blew most of the last leaves off the trees today.  Starting to look lke winter in Iowa.

I knew a good wind would be the end of our pretty fall trees and such is the case.  What a difference a week makes.  Now there are losts of pictures here again, sorry about that for those of you who have dial up like I do.

Most of these I had my new lens on.  Some I took it off for and both sets look good, some just look more vibrate.  One shot though the blue water seemed to cast itself onto the shore but I probably had it turned wrong since I can never see in the viewer.  Notice how bare the trees are getting!

Funny side story.  Years ago I had a pervert flash me while I was walking my dog around this park.   Laughter wasn't what he expected I guess.   The only way to really shock a nurse was if he could wrap it around his neck twice.  With my laughter, and my 110 pound dogs snarls he took his sorry self off to go make someones elses day.

I like the picture below.  Wish it had been a tad sunnier out.

This used to be the prettiest little place to fish but you can not believe all the garbage that was in the water and all over.  Why do people come to pretty places like this and trash it.  I had a difficult time getting pictures without the garbage but maybe I should have taken some with the garbage and sent them to our city council.  Time to clean up the park.  You can see all the picnic tables they have dumped in the water.

Next some path shots, I am rather a sucker for paths.

Can you hear the crunch of leaves under your feet?  Feel the chill in the air?

Notice no tables to picnic on, they are all in the water!

And 2 last pictures.  I forgot this one of the jazz players.

                    Country road take me home

Fun with Photoshop

First of all before I show the pictures I would just like to thank everyone for their comments and helpful tips, it means alot.  Thanks everyone!

Next, I took some pictures today and some turned out, some didn't.  I played with ones that didn't turn out so good and here are some of the results.  Fun stuff

Still trying to get my lens figured out, when the best time to use it and things.  Several shots turned out way to dark.   So I made them darker.  Very halloween like.

The hills are losing some of their colors as the leaves fall but I created some new and exciting ones.

It was overcast which was causing some of my picture woes but the clouds really look threatening done this way.  Really looks like a winter sky.

Last we were downtown listening to our favorite jazz band and I got some shots.  This picture did not turn out well, blurry.  It does however look pretty good when you do it poster style.  I am going to make some prints and give them to them next time they play.

       Original

Now instead of a bad picture, it is an interesting picture.

Now this last picture I like both ways.

My next entries will be some pictures that agains't the odds turned out pretty good.  I don't need to tell you how many didn't but if you take lots of pictures you probably know.

Random shots

The Begonia's turned out to be a good choice to plant as they still are blooming and looking lovely.

These almost glow they are so bright.

I few scraggling moss roses are still blooming.

I can't remember the name of this lovely little flower but I still have quite a few of them.  They bloomed all summer also.

The squirrels are looking fat and healthy.  We are feeding them too well.
