BEGINNER CATEGORY - WEARING OF THE GREEN

They say that on St. Patrick's Day, the whole world is Irish. Well, you don't have to be Irish to find some green in your world. Whether it's a St. Paddy's Day parade, your aunt's green scarf or spring blossoms, shoot something green this week and share it with us.

          Tis Green for the wee lads and lassies.

Photobucket updates

I use photobucket to store animated graphics and some of my photo's.  I will probably start doing it more.  Look at the neat new features.  I don't usually play with my photo's much but this could be fun, especially with a bad picture.  And don't I look great as a cat?  And its free!

This week photograph whatever you'd like.  If you don't have time to get out your camera, then pull something up from your files.  That's okay too.

     This is from my files.  I just like the peaceful feeling to this shot.  This is midway on one of our favorite bike trails.  We always stop and look at the river.  Sometimes we have lunch but it is always peaceful.  This was late in the afternoon.

Spring

 

This week's challenge is MARCH INTO SPRING...Is spring popping up in your neighborhood? Daffodils and crocuses popping up through the snow? However spring is arriving (or did in the past, if you're still snowbound), share it with us!

     We just are not having spring yet in Iowa.  Sloppy wet pre-spring.  In fact it is snowing as I type.  But in my kitchen......to remind me of whats coming.   My spring.

Last Traces of Winter

Spring IS around the corner

   Look what I saw on my lilac bush.



    In addition to the buds the ditches are running full as the winter melts away.



          The old bike buried all winter by snow is mostly uncovered.  Now this old bike is not my bike I use.  It is from the 60's and I plant flowers around it in the spring.  It looks lovely then but it is so our of kilter that it will never hit the trails again.



        All the ice on my windmill is gone




    And if you look close you can see the drop of melting snow hit the ground.



          But some things, even with color added.....remain dead.
